What happened
  • The No. 93 Meyer Shank Acura is attested as the Long Beach winner, but PN's own articles disagree on its class: the Valkyrie BoP analysis reads it as a GTP benchmark, while the DXDT withdrawal report lists it in the GTD field. The contradiction stays flagged on PN's record. External sources resolve it cleanly: imsa.com and RACER report the No. 93 winning the GTP class from pole, Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly sharing the car for Acura's first Long Beach prototype win since 2009.
  • The winning margin was 0.818 seconds over the No. 31 Cadillac of Jack Aitken and Frederik Vesti, which kept the No. 31's podium run going at round three.
  • Robert Wickens opened his five-race GTD program at Long Beach with pole position, the loudest moment of that program's calendar.
  • The No. 23 Aston Martin Valkyrie qualified 1.4 seconds faster than its 2025 spec on the same circuit, 0.371 seconds off pole, and was running on the lead lap before contact under an hour from the flag dropped it to a salvage finish.

Championship after Long Beach

Nasr and Andlauer hold a 35 point GTP lead over Laurin Heinrich, who now scores in the JDC-Miller Porsche. LMP2 does not race at Long Beach, so its table is unchanged.
